Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out the Planned Parenthood Hampton Health Center for a while now, and I finally got around to it. Here’s how it all went down.

First off, I needed to figure out how to get there. I saw online that their Taunton site is pretty close to the Bloom Bus Terminal. Like, it said it was only 0.2 miles away, which is basically a 4-minute walk. That sounded easy enough, so I decided to take the bus. I hopped on a GATRA bus – they have a bunch of routes that go there, like the 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8.
Once I got to the bus stop, it was a piece of cake to find the health center. It was right where they said it would be, just a short walk away.
When I walked in, the first thing I did was head over to the front desk. The lady there was super nice. She asked me for my name and what I was there for. I told her I had an appointment, and she checked me in real quick. She gave me a form to fill and asked me to sit and wait.
While I was waiting, I took a look around the waiting room. It was pretty standard, you know, with chairs and some magazines to flip through. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. After filling in the form, I return it to the front desk, then sit back and wait for my name to be called.
It wasn’t too long before a nurse called my name. I followed her to the back, and we went into one of the exam rooms. She started by asking me some basic questions, like my medical history and stuff. Then she took my vitals – you know, blood pressure, temperature, the usual.

After that, the doctor came in. He was a friendly guy, and he made me feel pretty at ease. We talked about what I needed, and he explained everything really clearly. He did the exam, and we discussed some options. He gave me a prescription and told me I could pick it up at any pharmacy.
Once the appointment was over, I went back to the front desk to check out. They processed my insurance, and I paid my co-pay.
Takeaway
- Getting there was easy with the bus.
- The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
- The whole process was smooth and efficient.
Overall, I had a good experience at the Planned Parenthood Hampton Health Center. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who needs their services. Oh, and one more thing – I heard that you can order food for delivery or takeout from local restaurants near there. So, you could even grab a bite to eat before or after your appointment. How convenient is that?
