So, I’ve been binge-watching this show called “One of Us Is Lying,” and man, it’s been a wild ride. I started watching it just out of curiosity, you know, something to kill time. I hit play on the first episode, and boom, I’m sucked in. The setup is pretty simple: five high school kids in detention, and one of them, Simon, suddenly dies. Right off the bat, they say it’s no accident. Naturally, the other four become suspects.

I spent the whole first day just trying to figure out who could have done it. Each of these kids has a motive, which made it even more interesting. I mean, you got Addy, Bronwyn, Nate, and Cooper, all with their own secrets that Simon was about to spill. As I watched, I kept making notes, trying to piece together the clues.
- Day 1: Watched the first three episodes. Started a list of possible motives for each character.
- Day 2: Binged the next four episodes. My list got longer, and I started noticing little things, like how Janae, Simon’s only friend, was acting.
- Day 3: Finished season 1. No way! I was so sure about one person and then the ending hit. So much happens with Addy and Janae. Addy confesses something to Jake about cheating, and later she is talking to Janae about missing her old life. Janae has some sort of manifesto from Simon. Crazy stuff!
Janae, she’s a whole other story. I noticed her in the pilot episode when she sang at Simon’s tribute. I thought she was just a side character, but then she starts popping up more and more. Addy tries to befriend her, which seemed odd at first. Then, I realized that Janae is way more involved than I initially thought. I spent hours just analyzing her scenes, trying to understand her connection to Simon. She knew a lot, that’s for sure, but what exactly? Oh, and remember how I said Addy tried to befriend Janae? Well, Addy thought that Janae had a thing for Simon, which turned out to be wrong. But still, it made me look at their interactions differently.
Trying to figure out what really happened
By the end of season 1, I was convinced that none of them did it. They all seemed innocent, in their own messed-up way. I even started researching online to see if others felt the same. I found some interesting discussions, but nothing that really confirmed my theories. People were talking about the ending, how intense it was, and how it all came down to this “manifesto” from Simon.
Then, there’s this whole thing with Nate getting arrested. I won’t spoil it for you, but let’s just say it threw me for a loop. I spent the next few days rewatching certain scenes, trying to see if I missed anything. I even made a timeline of events, just to keep everything straight.
I had to keep watching, I just had to find out what really happened. So, I start season 2, and things get even crazier. There is this Jake guy, and something about a character named Fiona, and a secret they have to keep. I don’t remember Fiona from season 1, but maybe I missed something? Anyway, I am just trying to keep up. I have no idea how this is going to end.

It’s been a week now, and I’m still thinking about this show. It’s like one of those puzzles you just can’t put down. I’ve gone from casual viewer to full-on detective. It is safe to say, I’m fully invested in finding out the truth. Who knew a simple high school drama could get so complicated?
