Okay, let’s talk about this whole “is masturbating everyday bad” thing. I saw a lot of chatter online, people saying all sorts of stuff, so I figured, why not just see for myself? Kinda like a personal experiment, you know? Keep a log, see what actually happens.

Starting the Experiment

So, I decided, alright, let’s try this daily thing for a bit. Wasn’t sure how long, maybe a month? Just wanted to get a feel for it. Before starting, I was maybe doing it a few times a week, pretty random, whenever the mood struck. I got myself a little notebook, nothing fancy, just to jot down quick notes each day. Felt a bit weird at first, like, who actually logs this stuff? But hey, it was for science… my own personal science, anyway.

The Daily Grind (Literally?)

Week 1: Okay, the first few days felt… well, pretty normal. Maybe a bit more relaxed right after, but nothing groundbreaking. Energy levels seemed okay. Slept alright. I just made a note each day: “Did it. Felt fine.” Sometimes added a note about mood, like “Felt a bit tired today, but probably work.” or “Felt pretty good, focused.” It wasn’t consuming my thoughts or anything, just another thing I did, like brushing my teeth.

Week 2: Started noticing a couple of things. Sometimes, finding the time or even the inclination felt like a chore. Like, “Oh yeah, gotta do that today for the log.” It wasn’t always spontaneous desire. Also, maybe, just maybe, I felt a little less energetic some mornings? Hard to tell if it was this or just life, you know? Work stress, not eating perfectly, who knows. I put question marks in my notebook: “Energy down??”

Week 3 & 4: This is where it got more noticeable for me. My motivation to actually do it waned quite a bit some days. It just didn’t feel that great every single time. Sometimes it felt routine, almost mechanical. My notes became more like: “Did it. Meh.” or “Skipped today, just wasn’t feeling it.” I also felt like my general focus was maybe a bit scattered? Again, hard to pin down directly, but it was a recurring thought I jotted down. It wasn’t like some huge negative impact, more like a subtle shift. I didn’t feel bad, just… maybe not optimal? Less sharp, perhaps.

  • Energy: Seemed slightly lower overall compared to the start.
  • Focus: Felt a bit less dialed-in sometimes.
  • Mood: Mostly stable, but the act itself became less enjoyable due to the routine.
  • Libido: Ironically, feeling obligated seemed to dampen spontaneous desire sometimes.

Wrapping Up My Little Test

So after about a month, I stopped the strict ‘everyday’ schedule. Looking back at my notes, it wasn’t some disaster. Nothing terrible happened. But for me, personally, doing it every single day felt like overkill. It started to feel less like a release and more like a task. The slight dip in energy and focus, whether real or perceived, wasn’t worth forcing it daily.

What I figured out is that listening to my own body works better than sticking to some arbitrary schedule, whether that’s daily or weekly or whatever. Forcing it just didn’t feel right for me. It wasn’t ‘bad’ in a dramatic sense, but ‘not ideal’ for how I wanted to feel day-to-day. So, I went back to just… whenever it felt natural. No schedule, no logbook. Much better.

So yeah, that was my experience. Not saying it’s the same for everyone, but that’s what happened when I tried it out.
