Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this thing called “Iris Menas” lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I stumbled upon it while I was looking for something completely different – isn’t that always the way?

First off, I had to figure out just what “Iris Menas” even was. Turns out, it’s not some fancy new tech gadget or a complicated coding language. Nope, it’s actually about a person, a nonbinary actor. Yeah, I didn’t see that coming either. This person, Iris Menas, has been in a few things I’d vaguely heard of, like that animated show “Madagascar: A Little Wild” and a play called “Jagged Little Pill.” I guess they play a character called Odee the Okapi in the cartoon and someone named Jo in the play. Cool, cool.
So, I start digging around, right? Watching some clips, reading some articles, the usual internet rabbit hole stuff. I started by simply watching clips of this actor. One of the first things I did was watch a few episodes of “Madagascar: A Little Wild”.
- Watched clips: I started with videos of Menas in “Madagascar: A Little Wild.”
- Read articles: Found some online articles about their career.
- Checked out “Jagged Little Pill”: I tried to watch some scenes from the play, but it wasn’t that easy to find.
Honestly, it’s interesting to see someone just doing their thing, you know? It wasn’t the deep dive into some technical thing I thought it would be. It’s more about appreciating someone’s work and their journey. That was a bit of a surprise, but a good one.
Getting Into the Weeds
I wanted to see if there was more to this Iris Menas than just the acting stuff. So, I kept searching, kept clicking, and kept reading. I found out they’re pretty active in advocating for nonbinary folks, which is pretty awesome. I even tried to learn a bit more about what it means to be nonbinary, just to get a better understanding of it all.
In the end, I realized that this whole Iris Menas thing wasn’t just about an actor I’d never heard of before. It was more about opening my eyes a bit to different people and different experiences. And hey, I learned a bit about a cartoon okapi and a play I might check out sometime. Not a bad way to spend a few evenings, I guess.
