Alright, buckle up, because I’m about to spill the tea on this little side project I’ve been tinkering with: “girl who judges people online.” Sounds kinda harsh, right? Well, it’s all in good fun (mostly).

So, it all started a few weeks ago when I was doomscrolling through Twitter (as one does). I kept seeing these ridiculously over-the-top takes on, like, everything. I’m talking takes so hot they could melt steel beams. And I thought to myself, “Someone needs to call these folks out… in a humorous way, of course.”
My first thought was to just reply to the tweets directly, but that felt too confrontational. Plus, I didn’t want to get into any messy Twitter beef. Been there, done that. So, I decided to go a different route.
I started by sketching out a basic persona: A sassy, slightly judgmental, but ultimately good-hearted online observer. Think of her as a less cynical version of your grandma commenting on your life choices from across the dinner table. I brainstormed a whole bunch of potential “judgment” categories. Stuff like:
- Fashion Faux Pas: You know, those outfits that make you question humanity.
- Bad Takes: The kind of opinions that make you lose faith in the internet.
- Overused Memes: We’ve all been there, but some people just can’t let go.
- General Internet Weirdness: Because the internet is a weird place.
Next up, I needed a platform. I considered a blog, a YouTube channel, even a TikTok account. But then I realized that I could just use a simple Google Sheet. It’s easy to update, easy to share, and requires zero coding (which is always a plus in my book).
I created a spreadsheet with columns for: “Tweet Link,” “Category,” “Judgment,” and “Notes.” Then, I started filling it in. I’d spend an hour or so each day, scouring the internet for prime examples of online absurdity. When I found something worthy of judgment, I’d copy the link, choose a category, and write a short, witty comment. I tried to keep the tone light and humorous, avoiding anything too mean-spirited.

For example, if someone posted a picture of themselves wearing Crocs with socks (a crime against fashion, in my humble opinion), I might write something like: “Fashion Faux Pas: Crocs with socks? Honey, no. Just… no.”
After a few days, I had a pretty solid collection of judgments. I shared the spreadsheet with a few of my friends, and they thought it was hilarious. Some of them even started contributing their own judgments!
Now, I’m not planning on turning this into some huge online empire. It’s just a fun little hobby that helps me blow off steam and laugh at the absurdity of the internet. But who knows? Maybe one day “girl who judges people online” will become a household name. Stranger things have happened, right?
The biggest takeaway? Just have fun with it. Don’t take yourself too seriously, and don’t be afraid to poke fun at the ridiculousness of the world around you.
And hey, if you see yourself on my spreadsheet, don’t take it personally! It’s all in good fun. ๐
