Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to get into “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” for a while now, and I finally decided to take the plunge with Season 8. You know, the one they’re calling “All Stars 8”. I gotta say, it’s a whole thing, and I just want to share my experience getting into it.

First off, I had to figure out where to even watch this thing. Turns out, it’s all on Paramount+. I found out that Season 8 has 14 episodes. I’m not sure how many episodes are in the other seasons. I guess that’s something I could look up later.
I grabbed my laptop, signed up for Paramount+ , and there it was. Season 8, staring right at me, begging to be watched. I hit play on the first episode, and man, it was like diving headfirst into a pool of glitter and sass.
- The Queens: Okay, so this season they’ve brought back 12 queens from past seasons. I recognized a few names from clips I’d seen online, like Gottmik and Vanessa Vanjie. They are apparently filming this season in Columbia.
- The Competition: It’s all about competing to get into the “Drag Race Hall of Fame.” Sounds pretty intense, right? There are all these challenges, and the queens have to, like, sew outfits, perform, and do all sorts of crazy stuff. The challenges looked hard, but the queens made them look easy.
- The Drama: Oh boy, there’s drama. I mean, it’s reality TV, so what did I expect? But still, these queens are not afraid to throw shade, and it’s kind of amazing to watch.
I ended up watching the first five episodes in one go. Yeah, I know, a bit much, but I was hooked! I couldn’t stop myself. I had to see who was going to be eliminated next and who was going to slay the runway.
Here’s how a typical episode went for me:
- Started with the mini-challenge. These were always a good laugh, a nice warm-up for the main event.
- Then came the maxi challenge. This is where things got real. The queens really had to show off their skills.
- After that, the runway. This was my favorite part, to be honest. Seeing the queens strut their stuff in their amazing outfits was just chef’s kiss.
- Finally, the lip-sync battle and elimination. This part was always so tense! I’d be on the edge of my seat, rooting for my favorites.
My Final Thoughts
So, yeah, that’s been my journey into “All Stars 8” so far. I’m totally into it now, and I’m already planning my next binge-watching session. I have got to find out who makes it to the end. It’s wild, it’s fun, and it’s just so much more than I expected. If you haven’t checked it out yet, seriously, what are you waiting for? Go give it a watch, and let me know what you think! I have only seen the first five episodes, but I am sure the rest of the season will be just as entertaining. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!
