Why I decided to try this stuff out
Being 6’4″ and 280lbs always made intimate moments messy. Last month during date night, things got downright embarrassing when I knocked a lamp over trying basic positions. My lady didn’t laugh – that awkward silence was worse than any joke. Right then I knew I needed real solutions.

My 3-step approach to figuring it out
First, I measured all the damn spaces. Got my tape measure and crawled around:
- Checked bed height difference from my knees
- Marked clear floor space beside bed
- Even measured doorway widths for standing positions
Then came the practical tests. Saturday afternoon with blinds closed, I tried positions solo like some weird yoga session:
Missionary variation: Put firm pillows under her hips mockup. Game changer! My belly stopped crushing thighs.
Standing carry: Practiced lifting my dumbbells first. Nope – shoulder press racks work better than actually holding up partners.
What finally worked after adjustments
The real breakthrough came when we incorporated furniture properly. That sturdy armchair everyone ignores?

- Her sitting on edge lets me kneel comfortably
- Armrests give me grip points
- No scary creaking sounds mid-act like with bed frames
Oh and that pillow trick? Became our MVP. We keep two foam wedges in nightstand now. Last Tuesday when spontaneity hit, just grabbed them and nailed prone position without knee complaints.
What didn’t work at all
Tried that bathtub advice from online forums. Absolute disaster – almost got stuck climbing out and flooded the damn bathroom. Stick to dry land folks.
Final result after 2 months practice
No more apologizing for clumsy moments or worrying about furniture casualties. We’ve got 5 solid positions in rotation now that don’t strain either of us. Still adding notes to my journal when we discover new angles. Best part? That “let’s try again tonight” smile she gives me now.
