Okay, so, like, the title of this post is “I’m 11 and I’m pregnant.” Sounds crazy, right? But it happened, to me! And let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I’m here to spill all the tea, from the very beginning to where I am now.

It all started when I started feeling weird. Like, not just “I ate too much candy” weird, but something else. I was tired all the time, my tummy felt funny, and I just wasn’t myself. My mom noticed, too. She kept asking me if I was okay, and I just shrugged it off. But then, things got even weirder.
One day, I was at home, I took one of those pregnancy tests. And guess what? It was positive. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I mean, I’m only 11! How could this even happen? I was totally freaking out.
The first thing I did was call my best friend. I had to tell someone, and she’s always been there for me. We talked for hours, trying to figure out what to do. Then I told my mom. She was shocked, obviously, but she was also super supportive. She made an appointment with a doctor to confirm everything and talk about my options.
Facing the Choices
The doctor confirmed I was pregnant, and then we had a long talk about what I could do. It was overwhelming, to say the least. There were basically three options:
- Keep the baby and raise it.
- Give the baby up for adoption.
- Have an abortion.
Each option felt like a huge decision, and honestly, I didn’t know what to do. My mom and I talked a lot about it. We also talked to some other family members and my pastor at church. I even talked to a counselor at school. It was important to hear different perspectives and get support from people I trusted.

After a lot of thinking, crying, and praying, I decided to keep the baby. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it felt like the right one for me. Now, I’m getting ready for the biggest adventure of my life. My belly’s getting bigger, and I’m starting to feel the baby move, which is super cool.
I also started noticing my belly expanding. Then, one day, I felt it – a tiny flutter inside me. The baby! Feeling that first movement was amazing. It made everything feel so real. The doctor said that I should notice amniotic fluid, and they explained the 5-1-1 rule for contractions. That’s when contractions happen every 5 minutes, last for 1 minute each, and continue for at least 1 hour. It sounds intense, but at least I know what to expect.
So, yeah, that’s my story. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I’m learning a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m ready to take on whatever comes my way. And who knows, maybe my story can help someone else out there who’s going through something similar.
One thing’s for sure, though: life is full of surprises, and sometimes, the craziest things can happen. You just gotta roll with the punches and do what feels right for you.
