Okay, so today is Valentine’s Day, and I really wanted to do something special for my mom. She’s the best, you know? I spent a lot of time thinking about what I could get her. Flowers? Chocolates? Nah, too basic. I wanted something more personal, something that showed I really put some thought into it.

Then it hit me: I decided to make her something with my own two hands. I remembered seeing this thing online about making a paper bouquet, and I thought, “Why not?”
Getting Started
First, I grabbed some materials. I found some colorful paper, some green paper straws for the stems, and some brown craft paper. I already had some glue at home, thank goodness.
Making the Flowers
Next, I started making the flowers. I cut the colorful paper into petal shapes. This took some time, but I didn’t mind. I was jamming to some music and just getting into the zone. Once I had a bunch of petals, I started gluing them together to form flower shapes. I also cut out some smaller circles for the centers of the flowers and glued those on top.
Assembling the Bouquet
Once the flowers were done, I glued the green paper straws to the back of each flower to make the stems. I didn’t have hot glue, so I just used a regular glue stick. It worked, but I had to be patient and let them dry properly. Then, I took the brown craft paper and shaped it into a cone to hold the flowers.
The Finishing Touches
I arranged the flowers in the cone, making sure they looked nice and full. It was a bit tricky, but I managed. The bouquet wasn’t perfect, but it was made with love, and that’s what matters, right?

Giving It to Mom
When I gave it to my mom, her face lit up. She absolutely loved it! She said it was the best Valentine’s Day gift ever. Honestly, seeing her so happy made all the effort totally worth it.
So yeah, that’s how I spent my Valentine’s Day. It was a bit of work, but making something special for my mom and seeing her reaction was the best feeling. I’m not the most skilled or patient person, but I’m glad I didn’t take the easy route to buy gifts. Happy Valentine’s Day to all the moms out there! You guys rock!
