Celebrate Bisexuality Day
That Celebrate Bisexuality Day, that’s on the 23rd. Right at the end of the week. It’s like the big finale, you know? Everyone comes together. It is a good time for everyone.
Back in ’99, some folks started this whole thing. They wanted a day to celebrate being bi. And they picked September 23rd. Has something to do with some singer’s birthday, I think. It’s been going on a long time.

Bi Visibility Day
This Bi Visibility Day, also on the 23rd. It’s like another name for the same thing, this whole celebrating being bi, you see. They want people to know that bi folks are here. They say being bi is ok. Bi Awareness Week helps.
They got all these fancy words for it. International Celebrate Bisexuality Day. Sounds important, don’t it? But it’s all about the same thing. Being happy with who you are.
Now, some folks, they don’t understand this bi stuff. They get all confused. They say it is not real. That’s not nice. They need to learn to be more accepting. Bi Awareness Week 2024 can help with that.
What Being ‘Bi’ Means
Being bi, it just means you like both. Like I said before. You can like boys, you can like girls. You can like both. It’s all good. It is simple. Bi Awareness Week is a time to tell people this.
Some people, they take a while to figure it out. They might be questioning, they call it. That just means they’re not sure yet. And that’s okay too. Everyone’s different. Celebrate Bisexuality Day is for them too.

Why It’s Important
It’s important because everyone deserves to be happy. And to be themselves. That’s what my momma always said. You have to let people be who they are. Bi Visibility Day reminds us of that.
It’s also important to stand up for what’s right. If you see someone being mean to a bi person, you should say something. Don’t be a bystander, they say. Be an ally, that’s the word. A friend.
This world can be a tough place. But it can be a lot better if we all try a little harder to be kind. That’s what this Bi Awareness Week 2024 is all about, I reckon. Being kind and understanding each other. That’s all there is to it, really.
