Okay, so today I decided to dive into the wonderfully weird world of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and pull out some of the most iconic quotes. I’ve always loved the movie, and sometimes I throw the quotes around, but I never really organized them.
First, I re-watched the movie. Gotta get back into that Time Warp zone, right? I had a notepad and pen ready, but honestly, I mostly just got caught up in the songs and ended up singing along more than writing.
Jotting Down the Quotes (and Failing a Little)
After the movie, I tried to remember my favorite quotes. This was… harder than I thought. I kept getting distracted by the imagery of Frank-N-Furter in his corset.
- “Give yourself over to absolute pleasure.” – Of Course, I got this one.
- “I see you shiver with antici…pation.” – A classic.
I definitely needed some help. I started to list all the quotes. I ended up with a bunch, and I was trying to group some and had a few that didn’t quite make sense on their own, needed to be refined to be useful.

- “There’s a light in the darkness of everybody’s life.” – Okay, even I’ll admit that’s kinda deep for Rocky Horror.

I’m not gonna lie, the whole process was kind of a mess. It was fun rewatching and singing along, but the actual “work” part was more disorganized than a Rocky Horror floor show after Riff Raff shows up.
But hey, I got some good quotes, refreshed my memory of the movie, and had a few laughs. I’d call that a win, even if my notes are a chaotic jumble.
