Okay, so I needed to get some stuff checked out, and a buddy of mine told me about the Planned Parenthood in Upper Darby. I’d heard of Planned Parenthood, of course, but never actually been to one. Turns out, it was way easier than I thought it would be.
First off, I looked them up online to see what I needed to do. Their website was pretty straightforward. It had all the info about their services, hours, and how to make an appointment. I decided to book an appointment online because, who likes waiting on hold, right?
- Clicked on the “Book an Appointment” button.
- Filled out a simple form with my info.
- Picked a date and time that worked for me.
- Got a confirmation email right away. Super easy.
The day of the appointment, I drove over there. It wasn’t hard to find, and there was plenty of parking. When I walked in, the place was clean and not at all what I expected from the bad things you hear online. The staff at the front desk were really friendly, and they checked me in quickly.
I didn’t have to wait long before a nurse called my name. She took me to a room, asked me some questions, and was very professional. I told her what I needed, and she explained everything clearly, without making me feel awkward. It was a relief, honestly.
After that, I saw the doctor. He was just as professional and easy to talk to. He did the check-up, gave me some advice, and answered all my questions. I felt like they really cared about my health, and it wasn’t just a quick in-and-out thing.
Once everything was done, I went back to the front desk to pay. They explained all the charges, and it was pretty affordable, even without insurance. They also gave me some information about follow-up care and where to go if I had any more questions.

All in all, my experience at the Planned Parenthood in Upper Darby was way better than I expected.
Everyone was nice, the place was clean, and they made the whole process really easy. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who needs their services. Don’t let the rumors scare you, they really are there to help.
Now, I feel good for having looked after myself, and that’s what matters. Just thought I’d share my experience in case anyone else is on the fence about going.
