Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with a feelings wheel today. Just felt like I needed some help figuring out what exactly I’m feeling, you know? Life’s been a bit of a rollercoaster lately. So I thought, why not give this feelings wheel thing a shot?

First, I went searching around for one. Didn’t want to make one from scratch, too lazy for that, haha. Turns out, you can find a bunch of these online for free. I found one that was made for kids, but hey, it works for adults too, right? It had all these faces and words on it, like a colorful pizza with emotions instead of toppings.
So, I went ahead and printed this thing out. Had to get the printer working, that was a bit of a battle, but I won. Now, this wheel had two parts – the wheel itself with all the emotions, and a spinner thing with a bunch of faces on it. I thought to myself, “Alright, let’s get crafty!” Grabbed a pair of scissors and started cutting everything out. Kinda felt like a kid again, doing arts and crafts.
Cutting out the pieces was the easy part.
- The wheel was a big circle.
- The spinner was smaller with little faces around it.
- There was also this arrow thing that you’re supposed to spin.
After cutting, I had to put it all together. Found a paper fastener in my drawer – score! – and poked it through the center of the spinner and the wheel. Now the spinner could spin freely. Cool, right?
So, I gave it a whirl. Spun the little arrow, and it landed on a face that looked kinda sad, and the word next to it was “disappointed”. Hmm, yeah, I guess I have been feeling a bit disappointed lately about how things are going at work. It’s like, I put in all this effort, but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference. Seeing it there on the wheel, it just kinda clicked. It’s not just sadness, it’s disappointment.

It’s Simple, But It Works!
Honestly, this whole feelings wheel thing is pretty simple, but it does help. It’s like, having all those emotions laid out in front of you, it makes it easier to pinpoint what you’re actually feeling. And the faces? They add a nice touch. It’s not just about the words, but also about recognizing the expressions that go with those emotions. This is kinda cool, I might keep using this feelings wheel thing. Helps me make sense of my own head, you know? It’s like a little map for my emotions.
