Well, well, well, look at this here thing about that Trump fella and them LGBTQ folks. Does he like ’em or not? It’s a real head-scratcher, I tell ya. Some folks say he’s alright with ’em, some say he ain’t. It’s all a big ol’ mess, if you ask me. This old brain can’t keep up with all this newfangled stuff.
I heard some people talkin’ the other day, sayin’ Donald Trump, he’s got some friends who are, you know, that way. But then he goes and does things that make folks think he don’t like ’em one bit. It’s like he’s talkin’ out of both sides of his mouth! One minute he’s sayin’ one thing, the next he’s sayin’ somethin’ else. What are we supposed to think? My head is spinning!
You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all these letters and such. People just were who they were. Now, everyone’s gotta have a label, gotta fit in a box. I don’t know, it just seems like a whole lot of fuss to me. And this Trump and LGBTQ thing, it’s just more fuss. Can’t people just love who they love? And we leave them to it? I don’t see what the big deal is.
This one fella, Joe Biden, I hear he’s all for them LGBTQ folks. He says he supports ’em, says he wants ’em to have the same rights as everyone else. Now that, I can understand. Treat everyone the same, that’s what my mama always said. But this Trump, he’s a different story. One day he says he likes them. The next day, there are people shouting and yelling, saying that he’s trying to take away their rights. It’s all so confusing!
And them elections, oh boy, don’t even get me started on them elections! Folks hollerin’ about Trump and LGBTQ rights, like it’s the most important thing in the world. Now, I ain’t sayin’ it ain’t important, but there’s other things too, you know? Like puttin’ food on the table and keepin’ a roof over your head. Seems like folks forget about that sometimes.
So, does Trump support LGBTQ? Honestly, I don’t know. He says he does, but then he does things that make people think he don’t. It’s like tryin’ to nail jelly to a tree, I tell ya. You just can’t get a straight answer out of him. Maybe he supports them, maybe he don’t. It’s a mystery to me, and probably to everyone else too.

I remember this one time, my neighbor, she had a son, and he was, well, you know. Different. And folks talked, oh, how they talked. But his mama, she loved him just the same. Didn’t matter what anyone said. That’s what I think is important. Love. Just love.
This whole Donald Trump LGBTQ thing, it just gets people all riled up. They start yellin’ and screamin’ at each other, and for what? Nobody’s changin’ nobody’s mind. They just get madder and madder. It’s like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, runnin’ around in circles.
And that Kamala Harris, I heard she’s on Biden’s side. She seems like a nice enough lady. I don’t know much about her, but I hear she’s all for them LGBTQ rights too. Good for her, I say. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, no matter who they are or who they love. That’s just common sense, ain’t it?
You know what I think is going to happen? In the 2024 election? I will tell you. Not much will change. All this talking and shouting, and in the end, it will all be the same as before. That is what I think. That’s the way these things work.
I reckon people just need to learn to get along. That’s all. Stop all this fightin’ and fussin’. Live and let live, that’s what I always say. And if someone’s different, well, that’s just fine. It takes all kinds to make a world, don’t it? So, whether Trump supports LGBTQ or not, maybe it don’t really matter in the end. Maybe what matters is how we treat each other. That is important. I think.
This whole thing is just too much for this old gal’s brain. I’m gonna go sit on my porch and watch the world go by. Maybe have a glass of sweet tea. That’s what I’m gonna do. And I ain’t gonna worry about no Trump and LGBTQ. Nope, not one bit.
