Okay, so I saw this question floating around online – “do condoms kill the feeling?” – and I thought, you know what? Let’s put this to the test. I mean, I’ve always just used them, you know, for obvious reasons. But I’ve never really thought about it, like, scientifically.

So, first things first, I needed, uh, participants. Let’s call it, me and my hand . I figured, okay, baseline test. I started, um, “testing” myself with and without the condom. It’s all in the name of science, right?
Round One: The Control
I went in “bare-handed” first. No barriers, just me, myself. I’m trying to pay attention, you know? Like, really pay attention. What am I feeling? How intense is it? Where are the, uh, “hot spots”? I’m trying to be all objective and stuff. I finished, and then, for the first time I made notes, I need a baseline before adding the condom.
Round Two: The Variable
Next up, the condom. I grabbed some condom that I had. I went through the whole routine again. This time, I’m trying to compare. Is it really that different? Less intense? More muted? I’m focusing on the same areas, trying to see if there’s a noticeable change. It’s… different. I finished, and jotted down more notes, trying to capture the exact difference. It was tricky! More slippery, that’s for sure.
The Results (Kind Of)
Honestly? It’s not night and day. There’s a difference, for sure. Like, imagine you’re listening to your favorite song. Without a condom, it’s like having the volume cranked up to 10. With a condom, it’s maybe like an 8 or 9. It’s still good, you still get the song, but it’s slightly less intense. I repeated this experiment some times, the results were similar.
So, do they kill the feeling? No. Do they change the feeling? Yeah, a bit. It’s like, a slight buffer. Is it a dealbreaker? Depends on what you’re looking for, I guess. But for me? Nah. Safety first, always. Plus, it’s still pretty damn good.
