Getting the idea for Christmas wordplay
Stumbled upon holiday ads this morning while sipping coffee. Noticed how every “jingle bells” or “deck the halls” phrase sounded kinda dirty if you twisted it. Grabbed my notebook real quick.

The struggle making it work:
- Tried matching Santa stuff with adult meanings
- Wrote “Santa’s sack” then crossed it out – too obvious
- Took three rewrites to get “chimney entry” sounding natural
- Almost quit when “nutcracker” made me snort-laugh
Stared at my list feeling stuck. Decided to test-drive them on Dave during lunch break. Watched his eyes get wide when I said “riding the sleigh.” His beer went halfway up his nose. Knew I nailed the tone.
Final double entendres list:
- “Checking packages twice”
- “Full-length stockings”
- “Christmas blow-up”
- “One-horse sleigh”
- “Stuffing the turkey”
Posted them online after dinner. Reloaded the page every two minutes like an idiot. First comment said “Santa’s definitely cumming tonight” with crying-laugh emojis. Mission accomplished.
