That darn cheating nurse, I tell ya, it’s a mess. Heard about it down at the market. Seems like everyone’s talkin’ ’bout it. Makes my head spin, all this fuss.

They say nurses, they s’posed to be good folks, helpin’ people. But this one, oh boy. She done messed up big time. Cheatin’ and lyin’, that’s what I heard. Makes ya wonder, don’t it?
Why Nurses Cheat?
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I got ears. Hear folks talkin’. They say these young’uns, these nurses, they got it tough. Lots of schoolin’, lots of work. Maybe they get scared, wanna take the easy way out. That’s no excuse, though. Honest work, that’s what counts.
And sometimes, I reckon, people just get tempted. That’s how folks are. Temptation is a powerful force. They see somethin’ shiny, somethin’ easy, and they forget what’s right. This cheating nurse, she probably got tempted, too.
- Maybe she wanted better grades.
- Maybe she wanted more money.
- Maybe she just wanted some attention, that poor girl.
I heard some nurses, they cheat on their tests. Copyin’ answers, sneakin’ notes. Ain’t that somethin’? Back in my day, we didn’t have no fancy tests. We just learned by doin’. But these days, it’s all about books and papers.
And then there’s the cheatin’ with the fellas. Oh, that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms. Nurses workin’ long hours, spendin’ time with them doctors. Sometimes things happen, I guess. It ain’t right, but it happens. This cheating nurse, she probably got caught up in somethin’ like that.

Nurses Cheating at Work
Now, cheatin’ at work, that’s serious business. You mess with people’s health, you mess with their lives. That ain’t right. These nurses, they got a big responsibility. They gotta be careful, gotta be honest.
I heard ’bout a nurse once, she was stealin’ medicine. Givin’ it to her friends, sellin’ it on the side. That’s just awful. People need that medicine. And she’s out there, sellin’ it like candy. This cheating nurse, she mighta done somethin’ like that, too. You never know.
And what about them patients? They trust these nurses. They put their lives in their hands. And then to find out they’re bein’ cheated, bein’ lied to? That’s a terrible thing. Breaks your heart, it does.
How Often Do Nurses Cheat?
Well, I can’t say for sure. But I hear things. Whispers at the store, gossip at the church. Seems like it happens more than folks like to admit. These young people today, they got different values, I reckon. Not like us old folks. We learned the value of a hard days work and being true to your word.
But even one cheating nurse is too many. It ruins it for everyone. Makes people doubt, makes ’em scared. And that ain’t fair to the good nurses, the ones who do their job right. There are still some good ones left, i know it in my old bones.

Some say lots of these students in nurse school, they cheat, too. I guess to get that paper sayin’ they’re qualified. Then they get jobs and cheat with patients’ husbands! Mercy, it’s a mess.
Signs of a Cheating Nurse
Well, if you see a nurse sneakin’ around, whisperin’ secrets, that’s a bad sign. Or if they always got fancy new things, and you know they ain’t makin’ much money. That could mean somethin’ fishy goin’ on. Or maybe she is always spendin’ time with the same married doctor. That ain’t good, not good at all.
And if you hear stories, rumors, well, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, I always say. People talk for a reason. This cheating nurse, there’s probably plenty of signs. Folks just ain’t payin’ attention. Or maybe they just don’t want to see it. They are too scared of being in a hospital without a nurse.
What to do about a Cheating Nurse?
Well, that’s a tough one. You gotta be careful. Don’t wanna go around accusin’ people without proof. But if you see somethin’, you gotta say somethin’. Talk to someone in charge, someone you trust.
And pray, that is what I do, I pray. Pray for that poor lost soul to find her way. I am not mad, just disappointed, you know? She’s got to learn to be honest. If you make a mistake, own up to it and be better. But don’t cheat, not ever.
It’s a shame, really. A darn shame. This cheating nurse, she’s ruined her life, maybe hurt a lot of people. All for what? A little bit of somethin’ she shouldn’t have had. It ain’t worth it, I tell ya. It just ain’t worth it. Honesty, that’s what matters. Being good, doin’ right. That’s what counts in the end. That, and a good pot of beans on the stove, of course. Can’t forget about that. Now where is my knitting…
