Okay so yeah I figured, why not share how I approached this whole new thing? Never done a proper tutorial kinda setup before, but hey, gotta start somewhere, right? Started super basic. Watched maybe… three different explainer videos? You know the type, where people just show the steps but talk super casual about it. Made me feel less stupid about being a beginner. Didn’t just watch though, actually paused the damn video after each step.

Next step? Gathering the junk. Seriously, felt like prepping for a weird science experiment. Went out and bought a fresh pack of balloons – not the shiny party kind, the regular, plain cheap ones. Grabbed a little bottle of lube too, just plain water-based stuff, nothing fancy. Found this old desk lamp lying around that I could bend and adjust, perfect for better light. Set everything up right there on my kitchen table. Cleaned it first, obviously.
Alright, time to actually try this thing. Felt kinda silly just sitting there with a balloon, a bottle of lube, and a lamp aimed at me. Unwrapped the balloon, stretched it a bit to soften it – someone in a video said that helps. Pumped a tiny dab of lube onto my fingers and rubbed it onto the balloon near the opening. Not too much, just enough to feel slippery. Took a deep breath and just… went for it. Tried positioning the balloon different ways, seeing what angle felt easiest for my wrist and neck. Focused really hard on keeping my teeth completely out of the way, using just my lips.
Results at first? Yeah, laughable. That balloon kept popping right out of my mouth. Managed maybe… two seconds? Three? Got super frustrated fast. Almost threw the damn balloon across the room. Walked away for like ten minutes, scrolled through my phone. Came back, started slower. Didn’t even try moving at first. Just held it in place, focused on the feeling, relaxed my jaw way more than I thought I needed to. When I finally tried moving my head, it was like tiny bobs, barely anything. Kept trying to just let it stay seated.
Slowly, slowly, started lasting longer. Five seconds. Ten. Got comfortable with the rhythm. Found if I breathed solely through my nose and kept my jaw loose, I could actually keep it going. Switched up the pressure a bit sometimes. Main thing was keeping the balloon stable with my hands so my head movement didn’t just knock it loose. Focused a lot on the texture and pressure against my tongue and lips. Still messed up plenty, balloon flew out occasionally, felt awkward as hell. But those stretches where it just stayed? Felt like a small win.
What actually worked in the end? Keeping the jaw relaxed is like rule number one. Seriously, tension messes it up instantly. Using way less lube than you think you need – too much and it just slides everywhere uselessly. Breathing through the nose constantly, otherwise you panic and stop. And holding the object itself? Crucial. Makes all the difference for control. Still feel like I kinda suck at it, honestly, but hey, I got further than when I started. Less popping out, longer runs. That’s progress. Just gotta be patient and kinda dumb with it.
