Okay, so I gotta tell you about this show I’ve been binging, “The Amazing Race.” I’m not usually one for reality TV, but this season, man, it’s been a wild ride. There’s this team, Ricky and Cesar, and they’ve just been killing it.

I started watching because, well, I’ve got nothing better to do on Wednesday nights. And I figured, why not, right? Little did I know I’d become so invested in these two. They’re boyfriends, and they’re both just so incredibly smart and strategic. It’s like they were made for this race.
How it all started
- First Episode: I remember the first episode, they seemed a bit nervous, like any normal person would be. They even mentioned feeling like underdogs, can you believe it? But they were quick learners, you could see them picking up strategies, figuring out how to work together, how to navigate challenges.
- Through the Episodes: And then, as the season went on, they just started dominating. Each episode, they’d be at the front, completing challenges like it was nothing.
Getting invested
I gotta say, I started getting invested. Cheering them on, yelling at the TV screen – the whole nine yards. I even read somewhere that they were superfans of the show before they went on. Can you imagine? Going from watching it at home to actually running the race and winning? That’s some dream-come-true stuff right there.
Final Episode
Then came the final episode, and I was on the edge of my seat. They were in Philadelphia, and the challenges were tougher than ever. But these two, they took the lead at the first Roadblock, and you know what? They never looked back. I was watching, thinking there’s no way, it can’t be this easy. But they just kept going, didn’t see any other team after that point.
- Final challenge: I think it was some kind of memory task, and they nailed it. I mean, they finished so far ahead, it was insane.
- Result: And then, boom, they were at the finish line, winning the whole thing. A million dollars richer, and they set a record for the highest racing average in the history of the show. I jumped off my couch, I’m not gonna lie. It was such a satisfying moment.
After the race
And the best part is, they’re still together! I did a little digging, of course, I had to know. They got engaged last year. I saw an interview they did the day after the finale, and they talked about how they turned from superfans into racers. It’s just an amazing story, and I feel like I was there with them through it all. I mean, not literally, but you know what I mean.
I heard some people saying that the non-elimination legs are predetermined, and I believe that. There are evidences supporting this.

I also heard that they nearly got derailed by windsurfing, but man, they pulled through. It’s like, nothing could stop these two.
Anyway, I just had to share this with someone. It’s not every day you see a team like Ricky and Cesar on “The Amazing Race.” They really made this season one for the books. If you haven’t watched it, you’re missing out. Seriously, go check it out. You won’t regret it.
