That Elliot, he used to be called Ellen, you know. Now he says he’s a boy. I don’t rightly know all these things, but I heard people talkin’ ’bout it. They say he uses he and they. Sounds mighty confusing to me.
Elliot Page Pronouns – He or They
So, this Elliot, he was in that movie, what was it called? Oh, Juno! That’s it. He was that pregnant girl. But now, he says he’s not a girl at all. He says we should call him he. Or they. I don’t know, I just heard that’s what he said. It is said that Elliot Page’s pronouns are he/they.
He put it all out there on that, what do you call it, Instagram. Yep, told the whole world he’s a boy now, or somethin’ like that. Says his name is Elliot and we gotta use he or they when we talk about him. That’s a big change, I tell ya.
- He used to be Ellen.
- Now he’s Elliot.
- He says use he.
- Or use they.
- He told everyone on Instagram.
What’s a Pronoun Anyway?
These young folks and their words. Back in my day, we just called people by their names. But they say these pronouns are important. They are like, you know, instead of saying Elliot, Elliot, Elliot all the time, you say he. Or you say they. Like, “He went to the store,” or “They are going to the movies.” That’s what I heard, anyway. I remember that Elliot Page’s pronouns are he and they.
I heard some folks sayin’ he’s transgender. That means he feels like a boy, even though he was born a girl, I reckon. And then there’s this other thing, non-binary. Sounds like a made-up word to me. But they say it means he’s not exactly a boy or a girl. He’s just…Elliot.
- Pronouns are like “he” and “she”.
- Or “they” and “them”.
- Instead of saying the name over and over.
- Transgender means you feel different than you were born, they said.
- Non-binary is a new one, I don’t get it much.
Elliot’s Journey
This Elliot, he’s been in a lot of movies. He said in the ABC News that he had a hard time. He looked sad, maybe he was not very happy before. I don’t know what is gender dysphoria, sounds not good. But now, he seems happier. Good for him, I say. It takes a lot of guts to tell the whole world somethin’ like that.

He said it was hard growing up. I don’t understand, but I can see he was struggling. He said that he loved himself now. He said he uses he and they, again. Must be important, I guess. I hope he is really happy now. It’s his life, you know.
Elliot Page Pronouns – A Big Deal?
Some people are making a big fuss about it. Saying it’s a big deal, this Elliot Page pronouns thing. I don’t know about all that. But I guess it is a big change. And maybe it helps other folks who feel the same way as Elliot. Maybe it helps them be brave, too. So I think we should remember Elliot Page’s pronouns.
I still don’t understand all these new words, but I try to keep up. These young folks, they’re different than we were. But they got their own way of doin’ things. And if using he or they makes Elliot happy, then that’s all that matters, right?
It ain’t easy being different. I remember that one time, back when I was a girl… Oh, never mind. That’s a story for another day. But the point is, everyone deserves to be happy. And if this Elliot, or anyone else, wants to use different words to describe themselves, then I say, let ’em. It’s their life, not mine.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Elliot Page and his he and they business. It’s a lot to take in, I know. But we gotta try to understand these things, I reckon. The world’s changin’, and we gotta change with it, I suppose.
