Okay, so, my partner and I were feeling like we were in a bit of a rut. We wanted to do something fun, but also kinda get to know each other a little better, even though we’ve been together for a while. So, I thought, why not try one of those “couple surveys” I’ve seen online?

First, I started looking around for ideas. I found a bunch of articles talking about “deep questions” and the “20-question game,” but honestly, we wanted something more lighthearted. I stumbled upon this one website talking about making surveys fun for everyone, not just couples, and that sparked an idea.
I decided to create my own survey. I grabbed a notebook and started jotting down questions. I remembered some of the examples I saw, like “What’s your favorite color?” but I wanted to make them more specific to us.
Here’s what I came up with:
- What’s your favorite memory of us from the past year?
- If we could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you pick?
- What’s one thing I do that always makes you smile?
- If we had a superpower as a couple, what would it be?
- What’s your favorite food that I make? (Hoping he says my pasta!)
Then, we sat down one evening, made some popcorn, and took the survey. We took turns reading the questions and writing down our answers. It was actually really fun! We laughed a lot, reminisced about some good times, and even learned a few new things about each other. For example, I never knew he secretly wanted our couple superpower to be teleportation so we could avoid traffic! Also, he really did say my pasta is his favorite.
Honestly, it was a simple thing, but it made us feel more connected. I realized that even after years together, there’s always more to discover about your partner. I’d recommend any couple to give it a try! Just keep it light, make it personal, and have fun with it. You might be surprised at what you find out!
