Okay, so I saw this thing online about Emily Hampshire being on Celebrity Jeopardy, and I was like, “Wait, Stevie from Schitt’s Creek?” I’m a big fan of the show, so I had to check it out.
First off, I didn’t even recognize her at first! She looked so different. But then I heard her voice, and I was like, “That’s her!” It’s so cool to see actors you like outside of the roles they’re known for.
So, I started digging around to see what I could find out about her being on the show. I found out that there was this other person named Emily Sands, she is from Minnesota and she qualified for this year’s Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy, but she didn’t make it to the final. She was a project manager from Chanhassen. She is a naturalized U.S. citizen. She lives in Los Angeles and Toronto now.
Turns out, Emily Hampshire is a Canadian actress, born in 1981. She’s been in a bunch of other stuff, not just Schitt’s Creek. For instance, she was in that show 12 Monkeys. I’ve never seen it, but now I’m kind of curious.
Watching the Episode
I found the Celebrity Jeopardy episode she was on and watched it. I was rooting for her, of course!
- She was up against some tough competition. Celebrity Jeopardy is no joke!
- She was doing pretty well in the beginning. I was getting excited, thinking she might actually win.
- She seemed a bit nervous, which is totally understandable. Being on Jeopardy would be nerve-wracking!
In the end, she didn’t win. It’s a bummer, but it was still fun to watch her play. It made me appreciate her even more as an actress. And honestly, it was just cool to see someone from Schitt’s Creek on Jeopardy! I might have to start watching Celebrity Jeopardy more often. You never know who you’ll see on there!
