How I Built the Ultimate Meme List (Nostalgia Overload!)
So yesterday, I totally got sucked into this memory vortex while arguing online. Someone claimed “Pepe the Frog” was like, brand new. BRAND NEW! That hit me right in the early-internet feels. I grabbed my coffee, cracked my knuckles, and was like, “Nope. Time for some internet history.” Decided I HAD to build the ultimate “Old Time Memes” list right then. Felt urgent.

The REAL challenge? Finding working images for this post! Dead links. Images shrunk to postage stamps. Watermarked versions everywhere. Copyright flags. Spent ages hunting down decent-sized, recognizable pics that hopefully wouldn’t get me in trouble. Felt like playing digital archaeologist.
Eventually, copy-pasted my verified list into my blog editor. Ordered them roughly chronologically-ish in my head. Added short captions explaining each one quickly – like telling a friend about them. Hit the “Save Draft” button. Felt oddly accomplished. Like I’d preserved a tiny piece of the chaotic, wonderful, deeply weird early internet we all loved.
The whole process took way longer than I expected (always does!), but man, the nostalgia trip was real. Looking at that final list? Pure joy.
