Getting Started Phase
Okay so I saw people making bank in this porn thing and thought “hell, why not give it a shot?” No clue how to start, like zero. First thing? Typed “how to do porn” into the search bar – felt kinda stupid doing it, but everyone starts somewhere, right?
Found forums. Tons of ’em. Lurked for days, reading posts about lighting, positions, camera angles. Way more complicated than I figured. Didn’t wanna look like a total newbie on camera, so I practiced some dumb expressions in the bathroom mirror. Probably looked like a lunatic.
Borrowed my friend’s cheap webcam. Set it up in my tiny bedroom. Messed around with positioning – aimed it too high, then too low. Took forever to get a basic angle that didn’t look totally awful. Lighting sucked too. Desk lamp? Nah. Bought a cheap ring light online. Better.
The Actual Trying
Made my first test video. Just… talking? Like an awkward vlog. Felt super weird pretending someone was watching. Forced a smile. Super unnatural. Deleted that garbage immediately.
Next attempt: just me. Solo stuff is supposed to be easier for beginners, right? Planned some moves. Started filming. Felt absolutely ridiculous posing. Lost my nerve like five minutes in. Camera was still recording useless footage. Total fail.
Kept it simple next time. Just focused on one short, basic thing. Ignored the mirror practice crap. Took deep breaths, tried to relax into it. This footage was… actually okay? Not Oscar-worthy, but usable. Finally had something.
Figuring Stuff Out
Now what? Where to put it? Googled “upload amateur porn.” Found a few platforms. Signed up for one. Terms were dense as hell. Skipped most of it – probably dumb. Uploaded that first okay-ish video. Nervous clicking the publish button. What if nobody watches? What if my Grandma somehow sees this? Panicked a little.
Checked it obsessively the next day. Zero views. Felt crushed. What was the point? Then… one view. Then another. Slowly ticked up. Just tiny numbers, but felt like a victory. People actually saw it!
Tried connecting with others in forums. Posted some questions. Got some decent tips on how to promote without spamming. Someone said good tags were key. Studied popular videos, saw what words they used. Changed my tags to be less vague. Views trickled in a bit more.
My Big Realizations
Honestly, it ain’t like people think.
- It’s awkward as hell at first. Like learning a weird new dance.
- Thinking you look hot on camera is different than actually doing it. It’s hard work!
- Nobody cares at first. Getting eyes on your stuff takes serious grinding.
- Tags, lighting, camera stuff – boring, but SO important. Can’t ignore them.
- Forums helped way more than official guides. Real people giving real advice.
If I was advising a totally clueless newbie like I was? I’d say:
- Screw the mirror acting. Just start filming anything to get used to the camera.
- Start solo. Way less pressure than coordinating with a partner.
- Cheapest gear is fine. Good lighting matters more than a fancy camera.
- Read the dang terms before uploading!
- Don’t expect cash overnight. Focus on learning first.
- Lurk on forums, ask basic questions. People helped me out big time.
It’s slow, sometimes embarrassing, and definitely ain’t easy money for beginners. But if you keep fumbling through it like I did, you might eventually figure some stuff out. Just gotta keep pushing.
