Okay, so, let me tell you about this thing I did… not my proudest moment, but hey, we all make mistakes, right?

It all started like any other night out. A few drinks, some laughs, you know the drill. Met someone cute, things got heated, and one thing led to another. Next thing I knew, we were back at their place. Stupidly, I didn’t even think about protection until things were already… moving. Condoms? Nowhere to be found. And in the heat of the moment, I made a dumb decision. Really dumb.
We ended up doing anal, and yeah, without a condom. I know, I know, huge mistake. I’m not gonna lie, it felt good at the time, but the second it was over, the regret hit me like a ton of bricks. Like, seriously, instant panic. I immediately started Googling “what happens if you have unprotected anal sex” and spiraled from there.
First thing I did, like right away, was wash up. I know it doesn’t really do much, but it made me feel a little cleaner, a little less… gross, I guess. Then I spent the whole night tossing and turning, convinced I had contracted every STD known to mankind.
The next morning, I felt like absolute garbage. Not just physically, but mentally. I was so anxious. I knew I had to get tested, but I was terrified of the results. It took me a few days to work up the courage, but I finally went to a clinic. The waiting was the worst part. Every cough, every ache, I was sure it was a symptom of something horrible.
Getting the results was even more nerve-wracking. Thankfully, everything came back negative. I was so relieved, you wouldn’t believe it. But it was a major wake-up call. Seriously, never again. I learned my lesson the hard way. Now, I always, always have condoms on me, and I’m not afraid to say no if the situation isn’t safe.

I also did a bunch of research after that. Turns out, unprotected anal sex is super high-risk for STDs like HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis. Not to mention the risk of hepatitis and other infections. Seriously scary stuff.
So yeah, that’s my story. A stupid mistake with a potentially huge price tag. Luckily, I got away with it, but it’s not a risk worth taking. Wrap it up, people. Seriously. Just do it.
- Always have condoms on you.
- Don’t be afraid to say no.
- Get tested regularly.
Learn from my mistakes, and stay safe out there!
