My Trip Down to Planned Parenthood on Watt Ave
Alright, so I needed to get some stuff checked out, you know, just routine things. Decided Planned Parenthood was the place to go. Heard about the one on Watt Ave, so that’s where I aimed for.

First thing was figuring out the appointment. I actually called them up first. Found the number online, gave them a ring. The person on the phone was pretty helpful, asked me what I needed generally, and we found a time slot that worked. Wasn’t too far out, which was good.
So, the day comes, and I head over to Watt Ave. Finding the place wasn’t too hard, it’s right there on the main road. Parking was a bit busy, had to circle once, but found a spot eventually. Walked up to the building. Looked like, well, a clinic building. Nothing too fancy, pretty straightforward.
Went inside. The waiting room was kinda what you’d expect. Chairs, some posters on the wall. Went up to the front desk. There was a person behind the glass. I told them I had an appointment. Had to show my ID, you know, the usual drill. Then came the paperwork. Always paperwork, right? Sat down and filled out a few forms. Took maybe 10-15 minutes. Standard questions, history, that kind of stuff.
Waiting and the Actual Visit
After turning in the forms, I just sat and waited. Flipped through my phone a bit. Wasn’t too long, maybe another 20 minutes before they called my name. A nurse took me back. She was nice, explained what was going to happen next. We went into one of the exam rooms.

The actual check-up part was pretty quick. The staff I dealt with, the nurse and the clinician, they were professional. Didn’t feel rushed, but they were efficient. They asked questions, listened to what I had to say. Felt like they knew their stuff. Got the service I came in for sorted out without much fuss.
Wrapping Things Up
After the exam part, they told me about any next steps, if anything was needed. Then I headed back out toward the front. Had to stop by the desk again to handle the payment part. They explained the costs, talked about sliding scale options if needed, which is good to know. Got my receipt and any follow-up info they gave me.
And that was pretty much it. Walked out, got back in my car, and headed home. Overall, the whole process at the Watt Ave Planned Parenthood was pretty smooth. From making the call to walking out the door, it just worked. People were decent, place was clean, and I got done what I needed to get done. Just a straightforward visit, really.
