Okay, so I needed to get my birth control refilled, and I decided to go through Planned Parenthood. I’ve used them before, and it’s always been pretty straightforward, so I figured I’d just stick with what I know.

Getting Started
First, I went to find if there’s Planned Parenthood near me. I just googled it, and there are many of them!
Making the Appointment
I chose to make an appointment. You can probably just show up, too.
I entered my zip code and date of birth, picked a date and time, created an account by filling out some basic info and answering a couple of questions. It asked stuff like my address, phone number, and why I needed the appointment – in this case, birth control refill. Pretty standard stuff.
The Actual Appointment
I got there a bit early, checked in at the front desk. They just confirmed my name and appointment time. The waiting room was fine, not too crowded. Then called my name, and I went back with a nurse.
We talked about my medical history. The nurse asked a few questions, you know, the usual – any allergies, medications I’m taking, if I’ve had any issues with my birth control before. Since it was just a refill, it was super quick. She made sure I didn’t have any new health concerns and that I was happy with the pills I was already on.

Getting the Refill
After the chat with the nurse, the doctor came in for like, two seconds. She confirmed everything, made sure I didn’t have any questions, and then that was it. My prescription was sent to my usual pharmacy. Easy peasy.
Picking Up the Prescription
Later that day, went to my pharmacy, and my birth control was ready for pickup. Paid the usual copay, and I was good to go.
Whole process was simple. From making the appointment online to getting my pills, it was all very smooth. Definitely recommend Planned Parenthood for this kind of thing if you need a hassle-free way to get your birth control.
