Okay, so, “pineapple swinging.” Sounds weird, right? I saw this thing online and thought, “What the heck, let’s try it.” It’s supposed to make your pineapple sweeter. I’m a sucker for kitchen hacks, so I was all in.
First, I grabbed a pineapple from the store. Make sure it’s ripe-ish, but not totally mushy. You know, that perfect golden color. Then, I chopped off the crown – you don’t need that leafy top for this.
The Swinging Part
Here’s where it gets, uh, interesting. I found a sturdy plastic bag, I used the big one, I have from grocery. I guess you could use a cloth, but I am afraid it get dirty. Then, I put the pineapple inside.
Now, the fun part. I held the bag’s handles and started swinging the pineapple around. Like, not crazy fast, but enough to get some momentum. Think of it like a slow-motion, fruity lasso. I did this for a few minutes, 2-3 minites, I think. My arm got a little tired, not gonna lie.
Rest and Chop
After the swinging workout, I took the pineapple out of the bag,and let it rest upside down.I just flipped it over and let it sit on the cut end, for like 30 minutes. The idea is, apparently, that all the juices redistribute, or something.I cut the bottom after 30 mimites.
The Taste Test
Finally, I sliced that baby *, you know what?It was… pretty good!I don’t know if it was the swinging or just a good pineapple, but it definitely seemed sweeter and juicier than * felt like all the flavor was evenly spread out, instead of being concentrated at the bottom.
Grab a pineapple.
Cut off the top.
Put it in a strong bag.
Swing it around for a few minutes.
Let it rest upside down for about half an hour.
Cutthe bottom.
Enjoy!
So, would I do it again? Maybe! It was a fun little experiment, and hey, if it makes my pineapple taste better, why not? Plus, it’s a good arm workout. Give it a try, and see what happens.
