Okay, so I’ve been feeling like things weren’t as… snug… down there as they used to be. You know, after having a couple of kids, things change. So I started looking into it, like, “What can I even do about this?”

First, I Googled a bunch. Seriously, a TON of searching. I found all sorts of stuff, from weird exercises to, like, surgery. Surgery was a big NOPE for me, way too intense.
Then I started digging into the non-scary options. Kegels, everyone talks about Kegels. So I downloaded a couple of apps. Some were okay, some were just… weird. You know, with little games and stuff. I just wanted something simple.
- Tried one app that had a timer, just basic squeeze and release.
- Tried another that was supposed to “track progress” but honestly, I couldn’t tell a difference.
Getting serious
After messing around with the apps for a few weeks, I felt like I needed something more. Like, the apps were fine for reminders, but I wasn’t really sure I was doing things right.
I talked to my friend Sarah – she’s had three kids, so she GETS it.
She recommended a pelvic floor therapist. I was like, “A what now?” But she swore by it.

So, I found a pelvic floor therapist. It was a little awkward at first, ngl, but she was super professional. She showed me exactly how to do the exercises, and she could actually tell if I was engaging the right muscles. Turns out, I was doing them kind of wrong before.
She gave me a routine. Not just Kegels, but other exercises too, like for my core and stuff. It was way more involved than just squeezing randomly.
The result.
Honestly, it’s been a few months now, and I can actually feel a difference. It’s not like, BAM, back to pre-baby days, but things definitely feel… tighter. I have a stronger feelling. It took some work, and it wasn’t always fun, but I’m glad I stuck with it. I used to leak urine when I laughed too * the embarrassing moment has gone.
It is important to regain the strength of my body.
