Okay, so “Thanksgiving sexy,” right? Sounds like a challenge, and you know I never back down from a good challenge. I wanted to see if I could actually pull off a look that’s, well, thankful and alluring at the same time. It’s a weird combo, I know, but that’s what made it fun.
The Prep Work
First, I brainstormed. What even is Thanksgiving sexy? I figured it had to be something warm, inviting, but with a little bit of an edge. I didn’t want to go full-on pilgrim, obviously. No bonnets here! But I did want to incorporate some of those classic Thanksgiving colors – you know, browns, oranges, deep reds.
The Outfit
I started with a base outfit. I dug out this rusty-orange, body-con dress. I tried it on. It’s pretty simple, which I liked because it gave me room to play with accessories. Then I layered a chocolate-brown, cropped, knit sweater over it. This added some texture and that cozy, fall vibe, but I have to ensure that I can show my body shape.
For shoes, I went with some knee-high, suede boots in a caramel color. They’re comfortable enough for a long day of eating and socializing, but they still add that touch of “sexy” I was going for.
The Makeup and Hair
Makeup was next. I wanted something warm and glowy. So I did a bronze smokey eye – nothing too dramatic, just enough to make my eyes pop. I added a touch of highlighter to my cheekbones and the inner corners of my eyes. For lips, I chose a deep, berry-red lipstick. It’s a little bold, but hey, it’s a special occasion!
Hair-wise, I decided to keep it simple. I curled my hair with a large-barrel curling iron, creating loose, romantic waves. I wanted it to look effortless and a little bit undone.
The Final Touches
Finally, the accessories! I added a delicate gold necklace with a small leaf pendant – a subtle nod to the fall theme. I also wore a pair of simple gold hoop earrings.
Putting It All Together
I slipped everything on, took a look in the mirror, and… I think I actually pulled it off! It’s definitely a “sexy” take on Thanksgiving, but it’s still appropriate and, dare I say, classy. It feels warm, inviting, and confident – exactly the vibe I was aiming for.
It was a fun experiment! It’s always good to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and try something new. And who knows, maybe this “Thanksgiving sexy” look will become my new holiday tradition!
