Okay, so, today I’m gonna talk about something that happened to me recently, which was super exciting! I was on “Celebrity Jeopardy!” Can you believe it? Me, on a game show! It all started when I got this call. I answered it, and bam, they asked if I wanted to be on the show. Of course, I said yes! I mean, who wouldn’t?

The first thing I did was freak out a little, not gonna lie. Then, I started, like, “training.” I watched a bunch of old episodes, read some trivia books, you know, the whole shebang. I even practiced buzzing in with a pen. My friends thought I was nuts, but hey, I wanted to be prepared, and I like to win. Also, I wasn’t playing for myself, I wanted to win for GLAAD.
Then came the actual day of filming. I got to the studio, and it was surreal. There were all these lights and cameras, and I met Ken Jennings! He’s the host, and he’s just as nice as he seems on TV. He introduced me to my competition. I was up against Mark Duplass and Utkarsh Ambudkar. Both are super famous in my eyes, I love watching “The Morning Show” and “Ghosts”. I was so nervous.
The game started, and my mind just went blank for the first few questions, but then I started to get into it. I actually got some right, which was a huge relief, the questions were hard! I remember one of the categories was about things that start with a certain letter, I think, it went fine.
The whole thing was a blur, to be honest. It was so fast-paced, and I was just trying to keep up. I tried to be funny and make some jokes and I think I pulled it off. In the end, I didn’t win, but I still managed to get $30,000 for my charity, GLAAD, which was amazing! That’s what it was all about, after all.
- Getting the Call: This was the most surprising part. Never expected to be on a game show!
- Preparing for the Show: Watching old episodes and brushing up on trivia was fun, but also kind of intense.
- Meeting Ken Jennings: He’s such a legend, and it was awesome to meet him in person.
- Playing the Game: The actual game was a whirlwind of questions and buzzing in.
- Raising Money for Charity: Even though I didn’t win, I still raised a good chunk of money for GLAAD, which made it all worthwhile.
Overall, it was an incredible experience. I got to be on a famous TV show, meet some cool people, and most importantly, raise money for a cause I care about. Would I do it again? Absolutely! Maybe next time I’ll even win.

The episode with me, Mark Duplass, and Utkarsh Ambudkar aired on September 27, 2023, so it’s probably somewhere on the internet if you want to watch it.
