Okay, so yesterday I got a big problem, and it took me a whole afternoon to figure it out. Now, I’m here to share this annoying experience with you guys.
It started like this: I was trying to pull out my weapon in the game. You know, just a normal day, shooting some enemies. But guess what? I pressed the button, and nothing happened. My character just stood there like a dumb, without a gun in his hand.
At first, I thought it was just a small bug. You know how games can be sometimes. I tried clicking a few more times, left and right, nothing. I tried switching weapons, still no weapons, I just can’t pull any weapon out. Then I’m starting to feel like maybe it’s not a small bug.
So, I restarted the game. The first thing is still try to pull out my weapon when I logged in, but guess what? Still not working! My weapon was still missing! I couldn’t even pick up weapons from the ground. It’s like my character suddenly forgot how to use weapons.
Then, I started to search online. I saw some guys saying that they had similar problems before. One said he couldn’t pull out his weapon after an update, another one said he can’t use his weapon after using a particular skill. It seemed like everyone had this issue for different reasons.
I tried several methods I found online:
- Some guy said to try respawning multiple times. I tried, died, and came back, like, ten times. Didn’t work.
- I also tried to verify the game files. My friend told me to do this when some game crashed. Steam checked the files for a while, then told me everything was fine. Of course, it didn’t work.
- One guy mentioned it might be the server issue. So I switched to a different server, I changed three different server, still no weapon.
Man, I was so frustrated. I almost gave up. But then, I remembered something. A few days ago, I installed a new mod for the game. Could it be the mod? I had to find out.
So I went into the game files, found the mod folder, and deleted everything related to that new mod. Then I started the game again.
And guess what happened? It worked! My weapon finally reappeared! I could shoot, I could reload, I could do everything again! It turned out it was that stupid mod causing all the trouble.
So yeah, that’s my story of how I spent my whole afternoon fixing a game bug. It was a pain, but I learned something. Always be careful with mods, guys. They can really mess up your game. And if you ever have the same problem, try to remember if you installed any new mods recently. It might just save you a lot of time and frustration.
